Introduction
Giggy helps delivery and gig-economy drivers review offer information, track mileage, manage order history, view performance metrics, use optional coaching tools, and explore experimental features. This Privacy Policy explains what information Giggy collects, how Giggy uses it, where Giggy stores it, and what choices you have.
How We Use Your Data
Your delivery history stays on your device. Giggy does not sell your data.
The only time Giggy uses your driving history off-device is when you ask Giggy AI a question. Giggy sends your question plus summary statistics from your past orders and shifts (earnings, hours, platforms, offer totals — not customer addresses) to Google Gemini so it can answer you.
Optional Cloud Backup (off by default) stores a copy in your Firebase account so you can restore it on a new device.
Screen reading and OCR run on your device only. Offer screenshots and broadcast frames are not uploaded for recognition.
Account login, subscription verification, and crash reporting use Firebase and app stores to keep Giggy working.
Information We Collect and Process
Account and Profile Information
Giggy collects the account and profile information you enter when you register or update your profile. This may include your email address, username, guest name, vehicle details, preferred working hours, and selected delivery platforms.
If you sign in with email and password, Firebase Authentication handles your password. Giggy does not store plaintext passwords on your device. If you sign in with a supported third-party login provider (including Google or Sign in with Apple), Giggy receives the account information needed for login and account creation.
Order, Offer, and OCR Information
Giggy stores manually entered orders, parsed offer details, order history, notes, labels, flags, goals, onboarding state, policy acceptance state, and related settings you choose to save.
Giggy may also process offer data through platform-appropriate tools:
On Android:
- Optional AccessibilityService can read visible delivery-offer text from supported delivery-app screens.
- Optional MediaProjection OCR requires per-session system consent; frames are processed on-device (for example with ML Kit) and are not uploaded for recognition.
- Giggy may process visible payout, miles, ETA, stops, pickup details, source app, and similar offer information.
On iPhone:
- Screenshot OCR only processes images you select.
- Live OCR requires a user-started ReplayKit broadcast with visible Apple system indicators.
- Giggy may temporarily cache the latest detected live OCR text locally so the app can display and review the latest detected offer.
For all platforms:
- Giggy processes screenshots and broadcast frames on device for recognition.
- Giggy does not upload screenshots or broadcast frames for OCR recognition.
Location and Trip Information
Giggy collects location data only when you enable mileage tracking. This may include latitude, longitude, timestamp, speed, distance traveled, and route points used to build trip history and mileage reports.
On Android, mileage tracking typically uses while-in-use location with a foreground notification while tracking is active. On iPhone, background mileage may require Always location permission so trips can continue when the app is not in the foreground. Background location is used only for user-controlled delivery-shift mileage tracking, not for advertising or surveillance.
Receipts and Photos
If you use Receipt Snapper or similar tools, Giggy may process photos or images you capture or select to extract receipt totals and related fields on device. Giggy may store receipt images, extracted values, and metadata locally. Receipt image content is not uploaded for OCR recognition unless you separately enable a feature that explicitly sends that content (Giggy does not do so by default). Optional Cloud Backup may include receipt metadata when backup is enabled.
Timing and Experimental Features
Giggy may store local timing-related records derived from orders, trips, and on-device estimates (for example phase durations). Experimental features such as Timing can be volatile and inaccurate; related data is processed for preview and product improvement on your device unless another section of this policy expressly describes off-device use.
Profile Images, Imports, and Exports
If you choose a profile image, Giggy uses system pickers or system media flows where available so you can choose a file. If you import data, Giggy reads the file you choose. If you export data, Giggy creates files containing your locally stored records and lets you share them through your device's share sheet or system share flow.
Diagnostics and Entitlement Records
Giggy may store and send diagnostics, crash logs, entitlement status, subscription status, product identifiers, and related timestamps needed for account management, subscription verification, reliability, and legal compliance.
Giggy AI and Voice Input
When you enable Giggy AI and ask a question, Giggy sends your question, recent chat history, and summary statistics from your past driving history to Google Gemini through Firebase Cloud Functions to generate an answer. This is the only purposeful use of your driving history off-device. Do not include customer names, addresses, or other personal information in questions.
Voice input uses your device microphone and on-device speech-to-text; Giggy does not upload raw audio for offer detection.
Cloud Backup (Opt-In)
Cloud backup is off by default. When you enable it in Account settings, Giggy uploads your orders, trip route points (latitude, longitude, timestamps), receipt metadata, and sync timestamps to Firebase Firestore for your signed-in account. This is storage for your restore convenience only.
How We Use Information
Giggy uses collected information to:
- Answer Giggy AI questions when you enable Giggy AI and ask a question
- Create and manage accounts
- Authenticate users and restore sessions
- Detect and analyze delivery offers on your device
- Track mileage and build trip history
- Display analytics, reports, timing previews, and related metrics
- Process optional receipt captures you initiate
- Verify subscription access and entitlement status
- Support import, export, backup, and restore flows
- Diagnose crashes, bugs, and app reliability issues
- Send local notifications when you enable them
What We Do Not Collect
Giggy does not request or intentionally use:
- Contacts, call history, or SMS messages
- Keyboard input, passwords, or sensitive typed text outside your own entries
- Hidden screen content outside your user-initiated OCR or broadcast workflow
- Payment card numbers directly
- Unrelated personal app data outside the features you enable
Giggy does not use the microphone for offer detection. Microphone access is used only when you choose Giggy AI voice input.
Giggy does not sell user data.
Information Sent Off Device
Cloud Authentication and Storage
Giggy uses Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore for login, registration, entitlement management, account deletion workflows, and profile management.
Crash and Error Reporting
Giggy may send crash and diagnostic information to Firebase Crashlytics so BetterDays LLC can diagnose app failures and improve reliability. This may include error messages, stack traces, device details, and user identifiers. Crash logs may be retained for up to 90 days.
Third-Party Services
Giggy may use Google Sign-In if you choose Google authentication, Sign in with Apple where available, Google Play Billing for Android subscriptions, Apple App Store services for iPhone subscriptions, Firebase Cloud Functions for subscription verification, account deletion, and Giggy AI, Google Gemini for AI-generated answers when you enable Giggy AI, and third-party map or tile services for map display. Giggy shares exported files with other apps only when you choose to export and share them.
AccessibilityService, MediaProjection, and ReplayKit Disclosure
Android AccessibilityService
If you enable Giggy's Android AccessibilityService, Giggy reads only visible delivery-offer text from supported delivery-app screens so it can detect offers and extract details such as payout amount, distance, delivery time, pickup location, and stops.
Giggy does not use AccessibilityService to read personal messages, chats, conversations, passwords, keystrokes, or unrelated app content, and it does not record screen video or audio for cloud storage.
Android MediaProjection OCR
Optional MediaProjection OCR requires per-session system consent. Frames are processed on device for delivery-offer recognition and are not uploaded for recognition.
iPhone ReplayKit and Screenshot OCR
On iPhone, Giggy does not silently monitor other apps. Screenshot OCR is optional and only processes images you choose. Live OCR requires a user-started ReplayKit broadcast and visible Apple system indicators. Giggy does not upload broadcast frames for recognition and does not keep a full cloud recording of the broadcast.
Data Storage and Retention
Local Storage
Giggy stores local data on your device. Local data may include orders, trips, route points, notes, preferences, tracking state, profile image paths, receipt captures, timing records, and temporary OCR-related values used by the app.
Local data stays on your device until you delete it, clear app data, use Giggy's clear-all-data option, remove the app, or overwrite temporary values.
Remote Storage
Remote storage may include Firebase Authentication account records and Firestore profile or entitlement data kept until account deletion, optional cloud backup of orders and trip route points when you enable Cloud Backup, subscription and purchase-status records kept until account deletion when applicable, Firebase Crashlytics logs retained for up to 90 days, and tax or accounting records retained when required by law (which may be up to seven years where applicable).
When you delete your account through the in-app deletion flow, BetterDays LLC removes associated cloud account data within approximately 30 days, except where retention is required by law or needed to complete pending security, fraud, or billing matters.
Temporary live OCR text on iPhone is stored only locally and may be overwritten or cleared by the app.
Data Sharing
Giggy does not sell, license, or rent user data. Giggy shares data only with service providers needed to operate the app, including Google, Firebase, Apple, app-store billing services, crash-reporting services, map providers, and Google Gemini when you use Giggy AI.
Other than those service providers and exports you initiate, Giggy does not share accessibility text, OCR screenshots, live ReplayKit frames, location data, or trip history with third parties.
User Controls and Choices
You can:
- Use guest mode where available
- Turn off Android AccessibilityService in device settings
